Stuart of Castle Chimney came into our home to investigate the source of the creosote smell that had been plaguing us for over six months. The investigation discovered that another chimney company who had worked on our chimney in March of 2025 had left our chimney in a hazardous condition.  Had they not discovered this and corrected it we could have lost our home and our lives. Stuart and the other workers at Castle Chimney came out and relined our chimney in a safe manner and according to International Building Code, removing all hazards and giving us peace of mind.  It is required by law that all chimney relines have a permit through the county or local building department and be inspected by them following the repairs.  We did not know this when the previous company working on the chimney, and that is how they were able to perform unsafe work without us being aware. 

Throughout the repairs they kept us informed about each step and its purpose. They also made themselves available to speak to the building inspectors regarding the work, as well as the Attorney General's office on our behalf.
